What goes wrong, and why
As PVC is processed, it releases HCl, which auto-catalyses further degradation — discolouration, brittleness, scorch. Calcium Stearate scavenges that acid and co-stabilises the system, while lubricating internally and externally. Inconsistent metallic soap means inconsistent stabilisation and unpredictable melt behaviour.
